This is Day 2 of our Mini Interior Styling Bootcamp!
On today’s IG live stream, we talked about the 3 main design principles that make your focal point pop and create visual interests for the home buyers. 🙌⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣ Harmony: everything in the room comes together in a pleasing combination 👉 created through unity (color story) & variety (visual interest).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣ Creating depth: through textures, contrasts, layers and foreground & background⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3️⃣ Implied movement: leading lines, repetition & strategic object placement⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🛠 I also shared my experiences working as a visual merchandiser building display for Anthropologie and a bit about composition in photography to improve your portfolio photos. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💪 And a challenge for you! Look at your past staging photos or a magazine photo. Post the photo on our Facebook page (facebook.com/staged4more) and tell me: what is the story you are trying to tell through the photo? What lifestyle? What is the focal point? What design principles do you think you had used? What do you like or don’t like about the photo?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
