Client: Neetika and Mohit Kaul
Location: Sobha City, Bangalore
Size of home: 4BHK, 2,145 sq. ft. (approx.)
Design team: Interior Designer Charul M Lodha
Livspace service: Full home design except one bedroom
Budget estimate: Rs. 25 lakhs (approx)
FOYER: A tall shoe unit was proposed to maximize utility with a simple yet elegant looking wallpaper as the backdrop.
LIVING AREA: This area was mainly to be used for quality family time. A place to relax with indirect lighting, a textured wall with a rustic console and a mini bar unit was proposed.
BALCONY: To bring in a bit of nature, the floor was covered with grass mats and an outdoor seating arrangement was proposed.
DINING AREA: A warm and rustic feel was achieved with the coordinated dining set, crockery unit, and the light fixture. The clients wanted it as simple and elegant as possible so the walls were not treated with any special finish.
KITCHEN: The entry was highlighted with a wooden finish archway and the kitchen units were in cappuccino color. Wall tiles were used in combination of neutral whites and lively highlighter tiles. Maximum storage and utility without having to compromise on aesthetics.
MULTIPURPOSE ROOM: The clients were looking at having a space to accommodate the other needs but did not want to add them in the living area or the bedrooms which included the entertainment unit, pooja space, and study area. So, this additional bedroom was designed so that all these requirements could be catered to. Also, this room can be doubled up as an additional bedroom with the provision of a sofa cum bed. The color scheme was neutral but in order to bring in a little color, the throw cushions were proposed in bright lively colors.
PARENTS’ BEDROOM: This bedroom was color coordinated in muted colors for the fixed furniture with a white bed with storage. The curtains are with a splash of reds to break the monotony of pastel shades. A beautiful floral wallpaper adds as the perfect backdrop for the bed along with the indirect lighting achieved with the false ceiling.
MASTER BEDROOM: This room posed a little challenge as the clients required maximum utilization and they were looking to have a wardrobe, TV unit and a dresser on one wall. Through multiple iterations in the designs, we achieved the perfect match.
